Admission procedure

Admissions to the 2-year program

(M1+M2 with 3 semesters of courses)

Admissions to the 2-year program (M1+M2 with 3 semesters of courses) are open to students who have completed a Paris-Dauphine L3 in management provided that they have passed in the first exam session and have obtained a minimum grade of 08/20 in each course. Moreover they should have followed the following courses (except in exceptional cases): l'UE 01 Finance d'entreprise, l'UE 24 Statistiques appliquées à la gestion, l'UE 03 Mathématiques financières.

Admissions to the 2-year program (M1+M2 with 3 semesters of courses) are also open to:

  • non-resident students holding or completing a Bachelor's degree (Bsc),
  • French nationals holding or completing a L3 (License) in Economics, Management, Mathematics, or Management IT,
  • and to students from engineering or business schools (Programme Grande Ecole).

French Grandes Ecoles graduates (Programme Grande Ecole) may ask to complete the degree in 1 year. The request should be expressed in the cover letter joined in the application file. This possibility is granted by the director of the Master according to the student's profile.

Note that, students interested in the double diploma 203 + QTEM must apply online between April 15 and May 31, 2020. They also should mention it in their Master 203' application form. Admissions to the 1-year program

(M2 with 2 semesters of courses)

Students willing to join the MSc. 203 directly at the second year level (1-year program) must have a first experience (summer internship or 6-month off cycle internship).

Admissions to the 1-year program (M2 with 2 semesters of courses) are open to students who have completed a Paris-Dauphine Master 1 (M1) majoring in Finance, provided that they have passed in the first exam session and have obtained a minimum grade of 08/20 in each course. Moreover they should have followed the following courses (except in exceptional cases): UE 104 Fixed Income Markets, UE 106 Investments and Financial Markets (in English), UE 112 Derivative products and markets (in English), UE 111 Financial Modeling and applications (in English), UE Basis in Econometrics and UE Financial econometrics.

Admission is also opened to resident students in economics, management and mathematics.

Admission is finally opened to non resident students holding or completing a Master's degree (MSc).

The admission process is the same for all candidates.

French Grandes Ecoles graduates (Programme Grande Ecole) may ask to complete the degree in 1 year. The request should be expressed in the cover letter joined in the application file. This possibility is granted by the director of the Master according to the student's profile.

The applications for 2021 are closed.

The recruitment process for the 2021-2022 academic year is described below.

Short-listing based on applications

The application will include:

  • a handwritten cover letter in English,
  • a resume in English,
  • the candidate's complete transcripts for each university year, 
  • TOEFL iBT results dating back no more than two years (not requested for English native speakers), TOEIC IS NOT ACCEPTED
  • a letter of recommendation

Highly recommended

GMAT (Graduate Management Admissions Test) results dating back no more than two years (more information on the GMAT test) or GRE (Graduate Record Examination).

Application time frame (spring session)

  • Application deadline: March 2, 2021
  • Admissibility and convening of pre-selected candidates for oral tests will be notified at the end of March 2021
  • Candidates will be definitively admitted after oral tests taking place sometimes between April-15-30 2021 (exact dates TBA)
  • 1 motivation interview with a recruitment professional and one Master's instructor.
  • Admissions will be announced by mid-April 2021 (M2 level) and mid-May (M1 level).

Application time frame (summer session - if it opens - M2 level only)

  • Announcement end of June
  • Application period: July - August , 2021  (exact dates TBA)
  • Admissibility and convening of pre-selected candidates for oral tests will be notified mi August (exact dates TBA)
  • 1 motivation interview with a recruitment professional and one Master's instructor.
  • Candidates will be definitively admitted after oral tests taking place sometimes End of August (exact dates (TBA)

Informations meeting:

Information meeting for all students, will be organized in January 2021.

The head of the Master 203, some of the students (1 year and 2 year programs) as well as some of the former students will present the program and answer the questions.

We usually are at the Dauphine Master fair at Dauphine Porte Dauphine, to be organized in February 2021.

Tuition & Fees

The Master 203 is what we call a "Grand EtablissementMaster program" (DGE) of the Université Paris - Dauphine. As such, tuition varies according to an income-based scale. Get more details (in French).

For 2020-2021, students whose tax residence or whose parents' tax residence is outside of the European Union and who provide a tax certificate to that effect, were paying a flat tuition of 6,500 Euros and are not eligible for any reductions.
