François Degeorge’s central research interest is the monitoring of performance – either inside the firm (say, by the board of directors) or outside the firm (say, by financial analysts). His research has been published in leading academic journals.

Research

He has received the SWX 2006 Best Paper Award, the 2000 Merton Miller Prize, the INQUIRE First Prize twice (1998 and 2003), the 1994 Fondation HEC Prize, and been nominated for the 1993 Smith Breeden Prize. Professor Degeorge is a former Fulbright and Arthur Sachs Scholar, and holds a Ph.D. from Harvard University and a Master’s degree from the HEC School of Management in Paris.
